This incredible Par 3 is the 17th Hole of the Ocean Course in Kiawah Island.
The Ocean Course was designed by Pete Dye and his wife, Alice; it is the #4 Public Golf Course in the U.S and it is ranked 25th of the 100 greatest U.S Golf Courses.
This Par 3 is very demanding and intimidating. It has water short and right of the green and two big bunkers on the left. The wind is a huge factor that has to be considered and played correctly, if not, it can definitely hurt your game. Hitting this green is a great achievement for any golfer, no matter where you land.
This course is affected by the wind so much that it can make a golfer choose up to an 8-club difference on some holes, depending on the strength and direction of the wind. No other golf course outside of the U.K and Ireland can experience this.
In case you recognize this hole from somewhere… the movie The Legend of Bagger Vance, was filmed here, and opened in theaters in November of 2000.
