Fellow Grinters,
Another year, another milestone. If you're reading this, you're not just a golfer - you’re part of a growing movement. What began as a humble effort to make golf more connected has become a vibrant, evolving community of Players, Innovators, and Creators. 2024 was big. But 2025? It's the year we tee off a whole new game.
This year we rolled out the most significant product update we’ve had in years focused on reimagining our GPS.
Golf is a game of precision and information, and GPS isn't just a nice-to-have - it’s essential. That’s why we rebuilt it from the ground up.
Our new structure will allow you to customize your GPS screen with the tools that YOU prefer. And will allow us to continue to develop and add more Widgets and Tools for you to pick.
Stay tuned Players as we continue to roll out new Widgets and Tools.
In recent years we began to explore the concept of being a platform that other products or businesses can use to create products and services for our community.
That means that instead of just doing the smartphones and smart watches, we can also leverage TheGrint through products like the new Swingman Rangefinder that has been embraced incredibly well by thousands of Grinters.
That’s why this year we officially launched our new TheGrint Connect API Program.
We started with Innovators like Calcutta (Wagering), RapidTee (Tee Times), but many others are in the works. These businesses are creating solutions where players and businesses engage under one digital roof - making TheGrint a powerful operating system for the golf world.
Golf is made of moments - and so is TheGrint.
This year, the Season Replay got a major facelift. We wanted to give every player a highlight reel that feels as good as a flushed 7-iron. We now also celebrate moments with tools like King of the Course and give you better ways to share those moments with our Scorephotos (more coming).
I am also VERY excited about a new addition to our Trophy Room experience coming soon, but that will remain a secret for now! 😉
PS If you don’t know or have not gotten a King of the Course card, it is how we celebrate the best Grinter on a golf course for a week. It’s been great to see how Grinters have embraced this feature!
The majority of you use TheGrint with your friends and small communities. But more and more we are seeing TheGrint evolve as a tool where larger circles exist.
Our Creators are building massive followings within TheGrint. Some have thousands of friends on the platform. The Scorephotos you're tagging? We see them. We post them. Our Instagram is a live feed of your golfing life.
And it’s not just Creators. Grinters are creating content, organizing events, and showing up on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram - organically. That’s community!
Our very own TheGrint Tour is expanding too - new cities like Nashville are now part of the family. We’re building a nationwide competition that feels like your local weekend game - but bigger, better, and more connected.
I’ve watched our community hit new milestones - crazy number of downloads, millions of rounds, and more connections than ever before. But what I’m really proud of is how we’ve grown up. We used to be the underdog. Now? We’re setting the pace.
I know a lot of folks still use other apps. But I have personally seen how more than ever that serious golfers chose TheGrint. A good example is how every time we connect to another golf company I end up hearing them say: “Oh TheGrint, yeah every one in our office uses you guys!”
The 25 people on our team and I want to thank you for believing in TheGrint and sharing our app with all your golfing friends. We will pay you back by working as hard as we can to continue to make TheGrint the best app for avid golfers.
See you on the course,
Jose Torbay
