Every golfer has a story, and now you can see yours come to life in TheGrint.
Introducing Highlights, a new feature that brings your golfing history, accomplishments, and progress together in one place.
When you open TheGrint, you’ll see a collection of bubbles at the top of the home screen. Each bubble represents a different part of your golf life, from the number of rounds you’ve posted to your current Handicap Index.
A colored indicator wraps around each bubble to show the level you’ve reached. As you play more golf, post rounds, explore new courses, collect trophies, and improve your game, your Highlights continue to evolve.
If your friends are playing live on the course right now, you'll see their score bubbles first. Just swipe over to the right to view your highlights. If nobody's playing live right now, your Highlight bubbles will display front and center in the app.
Each bubble at the top of the home screen represents a different part of your golf journey on TheGrint:
Every Highlight progresses through four color-coded rarity tiers:
Bronze → Silver → Gold → Pink
Each tier is based on defined thresholds that reflect how difficult an accomplishment or level of play is to reach. Bronze represents the starting levels, while Pink represents the highest and rarest tier.
For example, a newer golfer with an average score in the 100s will typically see a bronze wrap around the Scoring bubble. As that scoring average comes down, the bubble can advance through silver and gold before eventually reaching pink.
Golfers who consistently post scores in the 70s will see a pink Scoring indicator, recognizing a level of play that is genuinely rare.
For journey-based Highlights, progress comes from continuing to play. Posting more rounds, visiting new courses, earning trophies, and spending more time with TheGrint will bring those bubbles to life.
Everything in Highlights is easy to share, whether you want to post your progress on social media or send it directly to your group chats. Compare milestones with your friends, celebrate your achievements, show off how far you’ve come, and claim your bragging rights. Share your Highlights and see how you stack up against the rest of your friends.
Highlights are more than a collection of statistics. They’re a visual record of your life in golf.
